Nokia Launches Apple iPhone Competitor
Recently, Nokia has offered a new N95 cellular smart phone for a cool $750. Has the high-end
consumer market come to stay? Eyebrows were raised at the $499 price tag for the 4GB iPhone
base model. Nokia's new phone has already been launched in North America as of the second
week of April 2007 and offers some thick competition.
With a 5.0 megapixel camera, a 3GB networking service over the Cingular/AT & T HSDPA system, along with WiFi and Bluetooth
2.0 and runs the Symbian operating system, the N95 has many of the features of the iPhone and offers a faster wireless
connectivity. Apparently, boutique stores in New York City ran out of cellular phones the very first day the new Nokia N95
was released.
However, the N95 still features the traditional cell phone keyboard and apparently is selling
itself on sticking to what
people already know. One thing that Nokia and other companies such as Samsung do have distinctly
to their advantage is
their ability to produce and release new products quickly, within the six-month span since the
iPhone announcement.
